Information

Located 11 kilometres from the Pont du Gard, between Languedoc and Provence, Uzès, an ancient city of Septimania, is a destination of choice. The Duchy, situated in the heart of the town, is an imposing structure whose military origins are revealed through its keep, the Bermonde Tower (12th century), its ramparts and its corner towers.

The continuation of French history can be found in the remarkable Renaissance façade (16th century), where the classical architectural orders — Ionic, Doric and Corinthian — are superimposed. It is extremely rare to find these three orders combined on a single façade.

The Grand Siècle and the 18th century meet on the façades with their large windows opening onto the main courtyard and the garden. During this journey through time, you will also discover the almost thousand-year-old cellars, the magnificent view from the top of the keep over the town and its surroundings, as well as the furnished apartments.
